Auto repair shop change of use approved at Cypress Gardens Road in Winter Haven

The Polk County Land Development Division approved a change of use on August 22, 2026, allowing 3001 Cypress Gardens Road in Winter Haven to operate as an auto repair and mechanical shop. The building had originally functioned as an auto repair facility and resumed that operation continuously starting in July 2019, though the land use designation had not been formally updated until now.

Justin Faltus Auto Glass Brands, based in Tampa, filed the permit application on August 24, 2026, at the request of Polk County Building Department to bring the official record into alignment with actual use. The applicant submitted a Life Safety Plan and lease agreement as part of the approval.
