Bonnet Springs Park is expanding its museum parking

Bonnet Springs Park, west of downtown Lakeland, is adding parking for its museum. City records show a site plan for a parking expansion at 600 Bonnet Springs Blvd was approved on May 7, 2026, with Kimley Horn listed as the applicant and Roundhouse Holdings LLC as the property owner.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District approved an environmental permit for the roughly 2.6-acre "Bonnet Springs Museum Parking" project on May 19, 2026, as a modification of the park's existing permit. Days later, on May 21, 2026, the city issued a site work permit, with Roggen Clyne Development listed as contractor.

Earlier work at the park's addresses included parking lot lights and an electrical generator for a lift station, though those permit records show as expired.
