The Central Polk Parkway is being built from the Polk Parkway to US 17

A new toll road connecting SR 570 to US 17 is under construction, part of a larger extension reaching toward SR 60.

The Florida Department of Transportation is building the Central Polk Parkway, a new road running from the Polk Parkway (SR 570) to US 17 (SR 35). Prince Contracting, LLC is the contractor on this segment, which carries a known contract value of about $256.5 million. Work began in March 2023 and is estimated to finish by January 2029.

The records also show a connecting segment continuing from US 17 (SR 35) to SR 60, valued at about $134.5 million, with construction starting in September 2025 and estimated completion in April 2030. Together these pieces form a larger new-road corridor managed under FDOT's turnpike program.

This is a state road project rather than a private development, so exact routing, interchange details, and toll specifics are handled through FDOT and Florida's Turnpike.
