First Presbyterian Church renovations underway at Lake Hollingsworth
The church at 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive has pulled permits for a Scout building project and an interior renovation.
First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland has been working through a series of building permits at its 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive campus. In late 2025 it finished a roughly $300,000 project the permit records simply label the "Scout Building," involving building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and roofing contractors.
A second, larger interior renovation valued at about $500,000 was issued in March 2026 and is now in progress. Earlier, in mid-2025, the church replaced a small air-conditioning system. The records don't spell out exactly what the finished spaces will be used for.
The address also hosts several community events each year, including the Power In Pink 5K, Bridge Builder 5K, Crop Hunger Walk and Ride of Silence, permitted through the city's special-event process.
