Fort Fraser Trail will extend from SR 540 to Glendale Street

FDOT has adopted a plan to extend the Fort Fraser Trail from Winter Lake Road to Glendale Street.

The Florida Department of Transportation has included a bike path extension in its Five-Year Work Program. The project will extend the Fort Fraser Trail from SR 540 (Winter Lake Road) eastward to Glendale Street.

The work is currently in the adopted-but-not-yet-begun phase, with fiscal year 2024 listed in the program. No construction timeline has been announced.

What happens next

The project remains in planning phase. FDOT's work program status does not yet indicate when construction will begin or funding will be allocated.
