Gateway Warehouse site plan withdrawn at 5301 Gateway Blvd

A proposed warehouse project on Gateway Boulevard has been withdrawn from City review.

A site plan for Gateway Warehouse at 5301 Gateway Blvd was submitted to Lakeland in early 2026 but has since been withdrawn. The project was proposed on approximately 4 acres within an 8-acre parcel and was described as commercial warehouse use.

An environmental permit application (ERP 943236) for the same location was filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District in June 2026 but remains incomplete as of late August 2026. The permit appears to modify an existing environmental authorization for the site.

What happens next

The site plan application has been withdrawn from Lakeland's review. The status of the environmental permit application with SWFWMD is unclear; it remains incomplete. Any future development would require a new site plan submission to the City.
