I-4 through Lakeland is getting repaved from Galloway Road to SR 35
The state has a contractor lined up to resurface a stretch of Interstate 4 near Lakeland.
Florida's Department of Transportation has an active, executed contract to resurface Interstate 4 (State Road 400) from Galloway Road to State Road 35. The work is straightforward road resurfacing along roughly 11 kilometers of the interstate.
C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. holds the contract, valued at about $10.6 million. The contract went to letting on July 30, 2025, and the state's records list an estimated completion date in late 2026.
This is a state highway maintenance project drawn from FDOT's Five-Year Work Program, funded for fiscal year 2026.
