A commercial development called Interstate Business Center is moving forward at 2425 Interstate Drive. The city issued building permits on June 11, 2026 for three new commercial buildings — labeled Building A, B and C — with construction values of roughly $3.0 million, $3.95 million and $2.93 million, about $9.9 million combined. The property owner is listed as Interstate Drive Business Center LLC, with Certified General Contractors Inc. as the building contractor.

A related state environmental permit filed in May 2026 under the name Interstate Business Park describes the work as an industrial project on about 7.3 acres within a 14.5-acre ownership, handled as a modification of an existing permit. That water-management application was still marked incomplete when these records were pulled.

A separate city site plan filing under the name Interstate Business Center was withdrawn, so the exact review path is a little muddy — but the issued building permits show the project has cleared enough hurdles to build.
