A Mulberry-area homeowner wants to park commercial vehicles at 4100 Shady Hammock Drive
Juan and Traci Sanchez are asking Polk County for permission to park commercial vehicles at their home in a residential-suburban area near State Road 60.
Juan L. Sanchez and Traci Sanchez, the property owners at 4100 Shady Hammock Drive, applied for a special exception that would allow commercial vehicle parking on land carrying a Residential Suburban (RS) designation. The property sits south and west of State Road 60, north of Nichols Road, east of Riverwood Drive, and west of Mulberry.
The request went before the Polk County Land Use Hearing Officer on March 26, 2026. County staff reported that 42 mailers were sent to neighbors with no response, a notice board was posted, and a legal ad ran in the Polk Sun News. The case planner recommended approval, and at the hearing there was neither support nor opposition from the audience.
The records available do not show the hearing officer's final decision, so the outcome is not yet confirmed here.
