Lakeland Linder is planning a bigger terminal holdroom as airport activity keeps building
The city has a concept plan under review to expand the passenger holdroom at Lakeland Linder International Airport, part of a busy stretch of airport construction.
The City of Lakeland, which owns Lakeland Linder International Airport, has a concept plan under review to expand the terminal holdroom β the secured waiting area where passengers gather before boarding β at 3900 Don Emerson Drive. The application (CPT26-070) is listed by the city as "Under Review" and lists Christopher Stinson as the applicant.
The holdroom plan lands amid a steady run of construction across the airport's city-owned campus. Records over the past year include a new "Avelo Village" building, a Double M Aviation hangar valued at about $2.6 million, Amazon-related electrical and EV charger work, a second-floor administration renovation, and fire and food-service work tied to names like Sora Eatery and the Sun 'n Fun Warbird food court.
The holdroom expansion itself is still early β a concept plan is a first review step, not an approval β so scope, size, and timing aren't yet public.
