A battery energy storage system is being added to the PACE substation on Pearce Road in Auburndale.
PACE is expanding its substation on Pearce Road in Auburndale to include a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project adds a BESS pad, a new site entrance off Pearce Road, a stormwater management system, perimeter fencing, and a soundwall along the northern side of the property.
The site plan was filed in December 2025 and closed as complete in November 2026.
