Peachtree Mobile Home & RV Park to connect to Lakeland sewer, relocate spaces

The existing 30-space Peachtree Mobile Home & RV Park on E. Peachtree Street seeks approval to relocate and reconfigure spaces while connecting to city sewer service.

MHP Operations LLC has filed a pre-application for a limited modification of the licensed Peachtree Mobile Home & RV Park at 2422 E. Peachtree Street. The park currently holds 9 mobile-home spaces and 21 RV/park-model spaces—30 total. No increase in capacity is proposed; instead, the modification will relocate and reconfigure existing spaces within the same boundary, preserve one existing mobile home, and connect the park to the City of Lakeland's sanitary sewer system while abandoning onsite septic facilities.

The work includes converting electric service to underground, consolidating internal roads and emergency access, preserving an existing oak tree, and relocating utilities, the lift station, dumpster, mailbox, and service facilities. The applicant submitted a modification application to the Florida Department of Health on July 8, 2026, and DOH staff indicated the layout appeared acceptable in preliminary review. Polk County is the planning and zoning authority; the City of Lakeland oversees water, wastewater, and electric service.

What happens next

The pre-application conference will bring together Polk County and City of Lakeland staff—Planning, Engineering, Fire Rescue, Building/Manufactured Home Permitting, Utilities, Floodplain/Stormwater, and others—to confirm the review path and establish requirements for civil, drainage, fire, utility, and septic-abandonment approvals. A hydraulic evaluation, hydrant flow test, and Lakeland Electric design coordination are in progress.
