Polk Parkway is getting a fresh surface between mile 8 and mile 17

A roughly nine-mile stretch of Polk Parkway (SR 570) is being repaved and getting new guardrail as part of a state road project.

The Florida Department of Transportation has a construction contract underway to resurface Polk Parkway (SR 570) from mile marker 8 to mile marker 17 through Polk County. The work also includes guardrail and safety improvements along the corridor.

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. holds the contract, valued at about $16.3 million. Records show work began on April 28, 2025, with an estimated completion in 2026.

What happens next

Crews continue resurfacing and guardrail work along the corridor. FDOT records list an estimated completion in 2026 (segment records show mid-2026, with a contract estimate as late as September 2026).
