Bike path connecting Rosemont-Sultana-Highlands to First Street planned

FDOT has planned a bike path from Rosemont-Sultana-Highlands and Central Avenue to First Street.

The Florida Department of Transportation has adopted a bike path project as part of its five-year work program. The path will connect the Rosemont-Sultana-Highlands area and Central Avenue to First Street, spanning roughly 1.2 kilometers (about three-quarters of a mile) across four roadway segments.

The project is currently in the adopted-not-begun stage and is scheduled for fiscal year 2026. No construction timeline or budget details are public yet.
