Polk County is building new Parks offices at Saddle Creek Park
Where it is. On Morgan Combee Road in Combee Settlement.
Two new office buildings for Polk County Parks and Natural Resources are planned at Saddle Creek Park off Morgan Combee Road.
Polk County wants to add staff offices at Saddle Creek Park, on Morgan Combee Road east of Lakeland. The site plan on file describes two buildings β a roughly 4,766-square-foot office and a roughly 4,100-square-foot office/storage building β along with new parking and a stormwater system.
The county filed its site plan and a water-management permit in April 2026; the Southwest Florida Water Management District approved the stormwater permit in July as a modification of an existing park permit. Building permits for the two structures (labeled Building A and Building B) were filed in July 2026 and are listed as waiting for revisions, while an earlier combined permit application was denied.
This is a county-run maintenance and office improvement inside the larger Saddle Creek Park property, not a new public-facing facility.
