On US 27 near Holly Hill Grove Road in Davenport, a new Sam's Club is being built as part of the "Davenport Big Box Combo" project — a plan the county records describe as two large-scale big-box buildings (193,000 and 170,000 square feet) with a fuel station, eight out-parcels, retention ponds, and road improvements along US 27.
The retail shell building and its interior racking have moved through permitting, and the fire systems — underground, wet sprinklers, and kitchen hood and pizza-oven suppression — are now in inspections. In late August 2026 the owner filed for a full set of wall signs, including Sam's Club, liquor, eye exam, curbside pickup, Sam's Garage, and tire installation, which points to a store fitting out toward opening.
