New sidewalk coming to US 17 between Havendale and Brigham Road

The Florida Department of Transportation has a sidewalk project on its books for SR 555 (US 17) stretching about 2.4 kilometers from near SR 544 (Havendale) south to Brigham Road. The work is contracted to Gosalia Concrete Constructors, Inc. under contract T1811, with a known cost of roughly $2.8 million.

Records show the work began in July 2022 with an estimated completion date of October 2023. The project appears as a "line item reopened" in FDOT's current work program, suggesting it may have been paused or rescheduled since the original timeline.
