State Road 37 is getting repaved between SR 674 and CR 630

The Florida Department of Transportation is repaving a stretch of State Road 37 that runs from north of SR 674 to south of CR 630 in Polk County. The job is a pavement-only resurfacing — laying down new asphalt rather than widening or rebuilding the road. The work covers roughly 5.4 kilometers (about 3.4 miles) of roadway across several segments.

Hubbard Construction Company holds the contract, valued at about $1.94 million. According to the work program records, the contract was let in July 2025, work began in October 2025, and completion is estimated for spring 2026. The project is listed as under construction.
