Florida DOT is resurfacing about six miles of State Road 60 in eastern Polk County.

The Florida Department of Transportation has a resurfacing project underway on State Road 60, running from west of Saddlebag Lake Road to east of Tiger Lake Road. The work covers roughly 10 kilometers (about six miles) of highway.

Ajax Paving Industries of Florida is the contractor. Records list a total contract value of about $11.9 million, with work that began on April 30, 2025 and an estimated completion date in spring 2026.
