A roughly two-mile stretch of State Road 674 in southern Polk County was repaved in a state road project that finished in 2023.
The Florida Department of Transportation resurfaced State Road 674 from the Hillsborough County line east to SR 37, a segment about 3.4 kilometers long. The work was a pavement-only resurfacing (flexible pavement), meaning new asphalt rather than a road widening or redesign.
Hubbard Construction Company held the $1,647,444 contract. Records show the job was let in July 2022, work began that October, and construction was marked complete in the 2023 fiscal year.
