US 17 (SR 555) pavement resurfacing underway from Transport Road to Avenue G
FDOT is resurfacing about three miles of US 17 (SR 555) through central Lakeland.
The Florida Department of Transportation is resurfacing US 17 (SR 555) from just north of Transport Road to Avenue G Southwest. The work covers approximately 15,000 linear feet of pavement and is being performed by Hubbard Construction Company under contract E1X73.
Work began in early January 2026 and is expected to be complete by late September 2026. The project carries a contract value of approximately $7.5 million.
