US 27 got repaved from SR 540 up past Kokomo Road
A roughly 5.4-mile stretch of US 27 (SR 25) north of SR 540 was resurfaced under a $22 million state contract.
The Florida Department of Transportation resurfaced a stretch of US 27 (State Road 25) running from north of SR 540 to north of Kokomo Road. According to the work program record, the segment covers about 8,680 meters (roughly 5.4 miles) and was handled as a resurfacing project.
The work was let in August 2022 and began in October 2022, with an estimated completion of November 2024. Ajax Paving Industries of Florida LLC was the contractor, on a contract valued at about $22,060,130. FDOT's record lists the construction status as complete.
