Verizon wireless is replacing antennas and adding backup power at an existing tower on Pipkin Road.

Verizon wireless has obtained permits to upgrade an existing communications tower at 2821 Pipkin Rd W. The work includes replacing antennas and related equipment, installing a 50kW generator for backup power, and adding a 500-gallon propane tank.

All three permits were issued in December 2025 and January 2026. The project appears to be complete or inactive, as all permits have now expired.

What happens next

Permits have expired. If work continues, Verizon would need to renew or obtain new permits.
