The property at 3070 New Tampa Highway is being turned into a warehouse and storage operation. Records show an interior renovation permit issued in October 2025, a new roof finaled in February 2026, and a site-work permit issued in May 2026 valued at $1 million that references an approved site plan (SIT24-035) for warehouse/storage. An electrical permit for a new water-pump service followed in June 2026. The property owner is listed as Lakeland Storage 1 LLC (earlier records list Lakeland Storage & Logistics LLC).
A separate 2026 site plan (SIT26-012) for a "Warehouse/Trailer Storage Yard" at the neighboring 3030 New Tampa Highway address, filed by Zachary H. Thornton, was withdrawn. So the trailer-yard piece is not moving forward under that filing, while the 3070 warehouse/storage work is permitted and active.
A state wetland-delineation petition filed in March 2026 near this location β labeled "Publix Lakeland Deli Wetland Delineation Permit" by applicant Max Levine β appears in the same cluster of records, but it is a separate incomplete filing and its connection to this warehouse project is not established.
