New cross-access road planned between Highway 27 properties in Lake Wales

Polk County has received a land-development filing for a cross-access connection between two commercial properties on Highway 27 in Lake Wales. The northern property currently gains access via Chalet Suzanne Road; the proposed connection will allow vehicles to move between the two sites without returning to the public road.

The filing, submitted in August 2026, is currently under review and marked as requiring revisions. The connection is intended to improve site circulation and provide an alternative entry and exit route for the development.
