Eloise Main Street Corridor rezoning heads to county vote
County-initiated plan amendment to rezone Eloise Main Street area for mixed commercial and community uses.
Polk County is pursuing a comprehensive plan amendment to reshape the future land use in the Eloise Main Street corridor. The change would rezone the area from Residential Low to a mix of Main Street Corridor, Community Activity Center, and Institutional designations, along with new development standards and permitted uses for the Main Street Corridor district.
The Planning Commission has been reviewing the proposal and related land-code text amendments. The case is currently scheduled for continued hearings as the amendment moves toward county commission approval.
