The Lakeland Area Mass Transit District is restoring its parking area at 1212 George Jenkins Boulevard.

The Lakeland Area Mass Transit District has approved plans to restore the parking area at its maintenance facility located at 1212 George Jenkins Boulevard. The project includes site work and electrical upgrades, including a 300-amp service installation for chargers.

A site permit for the work was issued in July 2026 to contractor C&D Construction, Inc. An electrical permit for the charger installation was finalized in February 2026.

Site work is permitted and can proceed. The project may move to active construction.
