I-4 is getting repaved from Galloway Road to SR 35
The state has a contract in place to resurface a stretch of Interstate 4 through Polk County.
The Florida Department of Transportation has a resurfacing project set for Interstate 4 (SR 400) between Galloway Road and SR 35. It is part of the department's Five-Year Work Program, scheduled across fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
The contract has been executed with C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. at a known value of about $10.6 million. FDOT records list a contract letting date of July 30, 2025 and an estimated completion of November 17, 2026.
This is roadway resurfacing work — repaving the existing highway rather than adding capacity.
