FDOT is resurfacing about 7.7 miles of US 98 (SR 35) in central Polk County.
The Florida Department of Transportation is resurfacing a 7.7-mile stretch of US 98 (also known as SR 35) running from just north of SR 60 to just north of CR 540A. The work is a pavement-only resurfacing project with a contract value of approximately $8.79 million.
Ajax Paving Industries of Florida has the active contract. Work began in October 2025 and is scheduled to finish by late November 2026, per FDOT records.
