Old buildings come down for new commercial at US 92 and Recker in Auburndale
Two buildings on US Highway 92 West have been cleared and a new commercial building is permitted near Recker Highway in Auburndale.
At the corner of US Highway 92 West and Recker Highway in Auburndale, two existing buildings at 2105 and 2111 US Highway 92 W have been approved for demolition, with both demolition permits now finaled. A permit for a new commercial building at 104 Recker Highway has been issued.
A commercial site plan for the property was filed in September 2026 and is under plan review by the city. Gary Neal is listed on the demolition and related permits, and Mariah Geniti is listed on the new-building permit. What the new building will hold is not yet public.
